Quality Categories


The validation quality rules provide an error category in addition to the severity level and the error message. The category allows you to determine which main task the triggered quality rule solves.

Categories are used when creating or configuring quality rules validation in a special simple mode wizard or in advanced mode.

By default, the system contains a list of preset categories that are available for viewing only.

The quality rule categories are managed in the “Quality Category” tab.

Creating Category

Creating categories is available both when draft mode is enabled and disabled.

To create a category:

  1. Make sure that draft mode is enabled and draft is selected.

  2. Make sure that the “Quality Category” tab is active in the “Data Quality” section.

  3. Click image1 “Create” at the bottom of categories list.

  4. As a result, a new category will be created.

  5. Fill in basic settings:

    • Name. Logical name of the category.

    • Display name. Name to be displayed in the interface.

    • Description (optional). Additional information about the category.

  6. Save the changes. Click the image2 “Save” button located in the upper right corner of the area.

To delete custom category, select it from the list of existing ones and click the image3 “Delete” button in the upper right corner of the area.
